The title of this article is not designed to pull crowd or attract eyeballs. That can be done by resorting to some pornographic images or videos easily. This article is inspired by a real life experience.
Have you ever had a crush on anyone leading to an obsessive affair only to end up in utter despair? Yes, it feels bloody awful to fall from the grace of your dream boy or girl, but it’s equally easy to overcome the pain and sufferings of being declined outrageously.
If the above paragraphs set you adrift on a romantic nostalgia, read along for some solutions:
Day#1: Unlike Her on Facebook
They say LOVE is a sacred thing and you don’t beg for it. If it doesn’t work your way, you fucking move on. But it’s actually easier said than done. However, if you can take small measures to work on your feelings, you can stop obsessing over him/her.
To begin with, unlike his/her on Facebook. Regardless of whether you have removed his/her your heart and mind, it makes a lot of difference to your emotional disposition when you remove his/her from your FB friendlist. This essentially means you will no longer have access to his/her regular updates, photos and whereabouts that you were after every now and again.
Day#2: Write a Post
Writing is a ridiculously effective emotional exercise. It alleviates the pain and helps you let go of your emotional baggage. Be it a lousy poem or post about how you feel, it works wonders for your emotional health.
By writing your heart out, you’re in a position to declare your relationship status pretty clearly, thereby offering opportunities to potential fellow travelers in the journey of unrequited lovers. Plus, it brings you some more traffic 🙂
Day#3: Find A Friend to Speak to
When the going gets tough, the only way to stay afloat is to find someone you can speak to. In other words, finding a friend who actually gives a shit about how fucked-up your emotional health currently is. One, it helps you let your feelings out. Two, it offers you fresh insights into what you have been into of late. Only an honest friend can lead you out to the exit door of a disoriented romantic affair.
Day#4: Watch A Movie
You need to relax! When things don’t work in our personal life, we tend to suspend all the fun that we could otherwise have. Watching a movie, going out with friends, eating out, buying a new t-shirt or a pair of jeans should be on the cards. Heck, you can even try crashing into some wedding parties in your neighborhood – this shit actually might give you a better prospective 🙂
Try watching 3 different movies on the same day! This shit is good!
Day#5: Try An Alternative Hobby
What the heck is an alternative hobby? I don’t definitely mean taking to drugs or sleeping with a random girl off Facebook for that matter. It means getting yourself engaged in something you’ve put off until now. Tidying up your house, spending time in decorating the interiors or just cleaning up your room all by yourself can go a long way in dusting your mind off an obsession which was taking your life downwards.
See! You’re Healed!
